.44 Mag question

I have put about 400 240 grain rounds through my brand new Smith & Wesson model 629 .44 mag revolver with a 3 inch barrel. Last Sunday after about thirty rounds the cylinder stop stud fell out of the frame rendering the gun unshootable. I gave the gun a good cleaning and have retightened the stud and the gun seems to be working properly. I have at admit I would occassionally whip the cylinder in with live rounds, which perhaps was putting too much pressure on the stud.
Anybody ever encounter this problem? Should I put some locktite on the stud or just let it be? Thanks. Man, I love this gun!

loktite it and shoot it. if that don't work, weld it. with magnum loads that 3 incher oughta be sorta hard to hang on to. when i was a kid i really liked those 29's. then i realized my hearing was going away and they kicked like a pissed of mule.
