WASATCH EXTENDED ARCHERY HELP.

I still have a elk tag that i would like to use on the wasatch extended archery hunt. Only problem is i dont know where to hunt on the wasatch. I've never hunted on the extended archery before. I dont want any hot spots just a place to get started. Any help would be helpful. Also where would be the best place to pick up a map so i know where private property is.I mostly want the meat so a cow would be fine by me. Thanks for your help.

Head up Parleys Canyon and hunt North of I-80 between Parleys and Emigration Canyons. All the way up to East Canyon Reservoir. It's easy spotting and really open. You'll see herds of 50+ sometimes but they'll be mostly cows and calves. Good luck sneaking on 100 eyes, ears, nostrils man! Watch your wind but I think if you hunt it, you'll definitely get into them there(especially as the snow gets deeper!)

When you get to the top ridge head east. Follow the ridge to the Elbow Fork trail. Head down this trail untill you hit the canyon road then its back to your rig. your looking at a 4 mile round trip. You have to park at the gate now they lock it Nov. 1

The more snow the better. A friend and i took 2 cows the same day... Good luck
