I got a call from Prism last night and he apparently shot a toad on Monday. I'm sure he will post some pictures when he gets home. He sure put in the time. Scouted a week before the hunt and shot it on Day #3. Congrats Prism!!! Can't wait to see pictures.

Come on Prism! No holding out on us!? Sounds like you did really well! I know you were a little concerned, but the hard work paid off. Hopefully I was able to help you out a little? I like seeing my friends do well. I know how hard that mountain can be on a guy.

Sorry guys. Not trying to be "elusive" just keeping my options open.

I will say that it was an amazing experience from the scouting I did over the course of the year with my dad and some buddies, to finding the bull on my own, to hunting the bull for two days, to the long wait for him to stand and offer a clean shot, and even the long pack off of the mountain.

It was truly everything I hoped that it would be after 13 years of applying. A once in a lifetime experience.

There were several people from this site that offered their advice and I thank them for it.

Dutton is a special place, and I'm happy that I chose to hunt it. It's ironic that my very first LE elk application was for Dutton over a decade ago, and I finished it there after all of these years.
