Cow elk information needed

My 12 year old has a late season Cow elk tag (Dec 1-Dec 31) for the Avintaquin canyon area. I was hoping someone could tell me how the snow levels are and where they might be seeing some. I have hunted there in the past, but have not been down there this year. We head out on Sat for a day trip. Thanks in advance.

most of the elk are at 10500 foot level, I would wait until we get another good snow storm before I waist my time. I have 4 buddies that are hunting the same area, and that is what they said. good luck!
