One of my best friends, Greg Krogh, emailed me these pictures of the last couple weeks of elk season in AZ. I will post the email here in a few.

I talked with Greg last night and he told me the story of the really wide bull, definately one of the best hunting stories I have ever been told! I think he is going to write an article about it and I promise it will be a great read!

Greg is without question the best hunter I have ever hunted with and I have hunted with some people that knew what they were doing. His ability to glass and find animals is simply amazing! I could not give a higher recomendation to an outfitter. I consider him one of the best, if not the very best outfitter and guide in the country. If your looking to book a mule deer or elk hunt you need to talk with him! The vast majority of the hunting Greg does is on public ground!

All of these bulls were killed in the general season with tons of people in the field and after 5 seasons of hunters had picked through them.

Here is the email...

"Here are the photos of the other bulls from the Mogollon Rim Outfitters 2008 late season general rifle hunt. In all We took Four hunters each week. After you left with your bull we killed 7 more bulls. The eight bulls scored 401 6x6(yours), 390 8x7 that was 61 inches wide, 384 8x7, 371 6x7, 370 6x6, 341 6x7, 330 6x6, 300 6x6. It was definately the most enjoyable elk hunt I have ever guided. All of the hunters showed up in great shape, and we caught every break we needed at the right time. I can't think of a more enjoyable group of hunters to share the last two weeks with. I look forward to hunting with you again someday.

Greg"

Sweet! I Can't wait for the sheds to hit the ground! Sounds like a good antler growth year!:)

Drummond, did you kill the bull in the first pic with the monster 3rd, that bull is awesome, I would like to see a head on pic of it if you have one. That wide bull is sweet to and the mainbeams on the third bull are amazeing.

Sounds like they had a good year. If that is your bull congrats on a monster.

I didn't unfortunately! I was copied in on the email to the lucky hunter. The 3rd on that bull is an amazing 30"

Greg, another banner year for you....congrats on the great animals. Your clients are very lucky to have you for their guide, keep up the good work!!! Thanks for posting these Drum, made my day.

One thing I have to add to what Drummond said about Greg Krogh. He's a class act all the way, as far as I'm concerned. A year ago, one of my close friends drew an AZ elk tag, and it appeared that he'd drawn it for the 'wrong' unit. I came on here and asked for any help people could give, and one of the very first to PM with with advice on places to hunt was Greg Krogh, and he knew my buddy wasn't looking for a guided hunt. As it turned out, when the tag came it was for a different unit, but Greg was very helpful and I won't forget his generosity.

I would never hesitate to hunt with him, that's for sure.

I forgot to add this picture in the original post.

Greg floats around the forum from time to time, maybe he will come on and tell the story about some of his hunts.

Like Drum I've had the pleasure the last few years to call Greg my friend. I would say without hesitation that Greg is one of the best hunters I've had the opportunity to be in the field with.

Anyone who is looking for a top notch guide for elk or deer would have a hard time doing better than Greg.

I will now and forever feel that without Gregs skill in the field, Randy Ulmers walls would have a lot more room on them.

Greg's resume' has been impressive lately, you just don't luck into that many unreal animals especially in one season. I continue to be impressed with his hunting skills.

That's amazing, all those bulls are spectacular! I'd like to see the Muley pics, sounds like these boys had a hell of a year!! Congrats to the outfitter, and all the hunters.
