Big California Muleys

This is my first post though I have been a daily visitor for the last couple years and truely enjoy this site.
I met this very nice old couple that live in the hills near my house. Recently while helping them with their generator in the basement I was shocked to see the most amazing set of mule deer antlers I have ever seen in person. Very dusty with cobwebs, I picked them up and asked about them. I was told that they were from a muley shot in Modoc Co, Ca. by his dad's hunting partner in 1930. I cleaned them up and to my surprize they appear to be from last season. Come to find out they have been in that same dark spot since 1930 (never have seen the light of day). I convinced them to let me score them and they gross score 193 7/8" and net 190 1/8" typical and gross 234 5/8" and net 230 7/8" non-typical! It is 33" wide 9x8 with no width added from cheaters.
My main question is there anyone aware of a place I can see a list of California records for it's mule deer. There could not have been too many 234"+ bucks taken in my state of Ca.
I will be posting pictures in the next couple of days.
Thanks for your help

Definatley worthy of being measured, as it sounds like a smoker buck. The two best non-typicals I'm aware of from CA both net score over 300". (Laird buck 319 4/8"BC and McGram Buck 305 6/8"BC) There are also a few more that net over 240" non-typical. A booner non-typical mule deer is a rare creature.....especially from the Golden State. Looking forward to the photo.

I have the book..There are 7 non-typicals that score over 240..and two typicals entered that score over 190. After last season there may be a couple more typicals.
All those bucks entered were shot before 1973 with the exception of Artie McGram's non-typical, which was shot in 1987.
I can't wait to see your photo's.. That thing sounds ridiculous!

Ridgewalker,
great information. I'll be back up to see them on Friday and take some pictures. I'll post them that afternoon.
