Video Clips

Hey there, just thought I would share some scouting clips from July 16-17th weekend. Nothing huge, but a few nice ones and figured it would make for good entertainment, it does for me.

First clip is filmed at about a mile and a half away...

And third one, at about 100 yards, my buddy started sneezing, they bunched up and this is them on their way out... filmed them for about 20 minutes before, but figured this kind of sums it up.

What camera setup were you using. Good video of some nice looking bucks for such a long distance.

The camcorder is a Sony Handycam... model TRVxxx... with a 20X optical zoom. And then I purchased a Kenko 8X monocular to screw into the end of that. It doesn't work in between min (8X) and max (~150X?) very well and it's very hard, even with a tripod to hold still. But I am still experimenting and this is the best video I have ever had at that kind of distance. Thanks.

I would be back to find #5 in that line-up. That buck looks pretty good to me, 170+. Cool video, it's nice to see alot of big bucks on the move like that.

I talked Brian (Founder) into hosting them for me. I downloaded them from my camera in .mpg format through a USB cable. Then converted them to .wmv to make them about 1/3 their size and e-mailed them to him. And yes, would be great to see what other people have taped. Now, I need to work on getting VHS tape onto the PC so I can get some clips from bucks over the last 4-5 years on here too!
