Yeah, from the pics I'd say he still has some growing to do. Like you say, he may be bigger than he looks in the pics. Next year he'll be bigger.

THE PICTURE MAY NOT DO HIM JUSTICE!!!

BUT HE'S STILL A PISSCUTTER!!!

NOT BEING RUDE!!!

JUST TRUTHFUL!!!

YOU EVER SEE A 380"+ BULL YOU'LL KNOW IT!!!

THERE'S ONLY ONE bobcat!!!

Let him walk with a LE rifle/muzzy tag, general season it is a no brainer! Nice bull, he just needs some more age on him! Nice pic's!

it's a 315 class bull, but I think it's strange on when people ask if it's a shooter. We don't have the tag and finger on the trigger, if that bull would make you happy for the tag in your pocket than its a shooter. Don't shoot a bull for someone else, it's your memories we're here just to listen to your stories and see the pics!

good beam length mass and width make up for HORRID tine length. Still 320 is a lofty goal for this bull. Now as for a shooter, on any LE unit in UT you should probably pass but on a general unit start flingin!

Since my next Elk will be my first Elk,yes,in a heart beat. I would take that bull and thank Heaven for the oppertunity. Center fire or smokepole either one. The only problem I can forsee is getting the perma-grin off my face. Just a different slant on things from a Pennsylvanian perspective.

Good lookin bull but I think he needs some time to reach the bull he could be. I would guess him from the pictures 285 to 295. He needs a few more years.

Maybe, it depends on alot of things I would smack him on the last day of the gen. archery for sure, probable last day any bull elk season. OK i'd shoot him on the first day of the gen. archery season or any day in between LE alot harder choice maybe a go home bull.

Yes they are on the Hardware Ranch. I saw them Saturday. There were some nice bulls there. Seen a spike that still had its velvet on.

The bigger question is would you shoot the bull in the 2nd picture on a spike hunt. I can't see it too closely, but it looks like it might be a legal bull on a spike hunt. 1x5 or 6!!!

I wonder how many of these are out there for 2009? If it was a legal 1Xwhatever, I would shoot it on a spike only unit.

Did that bull have a little limp in his walk? I saw a very similar bull on my CWMU hunt only a few miles from Hardware Ranch. I was trying to size him up. When he turned his head and started walking I decided he was a shooter. But he walked straight away and didn't offer a shot. He walked like he had an injured front leg. If it is the same bull, I guessed him about 300, but was impressed with the mass. I was considering going to Hardware this year to see if some of the bulls look familar from my hunt.

290-300. I would not shoot him because I would not have a tag where that is the best you can do.

I would let him walk with my rifle. If i was close enough for a shoot with my bow, i would have a dang hard time letting him walk.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-21-09 AT 11:11AM (MST)[p]Depends on where your hunting. LE unit in Utah NO WAY last day bull. 305 tops

General Season any bull unit... yes. Limited Entry Bull unit....no. He's got some potential.

nice bull i wouldnt give him a second look before shooting. but i think i would shoot that crazy lookin forked horn bull in the second pic!! never seen a bull with that long of main beams and only forks once, looks like he has one small browtine too, and only one antler
Muley Man!
