My 13-year-old son has an unfilled cow tag and we are hoping to get out this weekend in one of the still-open units (85, 128, 133 & 134). Does anyone have any knowledge of public land within these units (Spanish Peaks State Wildife Area, Black Hawk State Trust, Saint Charles State Trust, etc.)? I called the Pueblo DOW office and they were totally unhelpful - just gave me the regulations. Maybe someone knows a landowner that would grant trespass for low or no cost? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
