My name is Destiny and I am a Elkaholic.
My affliction started a very long time ago but I went downhill when I drew a Grouse Creek Limited entry tag and killed a 6x6 Bull last September... it was a hard hunt for being handicapped but ever since then I can't get Elk out of my head. I've put silly Elk stickers on the back window of my Truck... I'm still driving my neighbors crazy practicing buggiling. Every time I watch TV I go to the outdoor channels and search for the Elk Hunting programs and schedule to watch them.
I've read the 2009 Hunting proclamation a thousand times trying to figure how to get out of the waiting period to go Elk hunting. I went into an ATV Dealer looking for camo ATV's last week... I even bought a new meat saw with a larger 25" blade and I'm looking for portable saws with battery packs... argh.
I've looked at Log cabin kits and land so I can build a cabin just to hang my Antlers in... I know I can't afford it with my medical bills but I can look. I've been begging my family members to put in for the draw for ANY limited Elk hunt this year so I can go.... I'm even learning how to melt scrap gold to make gold mounts to slip my ivories in.
I've been scrounging thrift stores for books on Elk Hunting and I've been reading them... Been looking at Outfitters in other states or Landowners with private tags to get around the waiting period here in Utah... haven't got a dime to my name but I have bullets I haven't used... I've got to kill Elk.
