Can you use sabots in Idaho traditional muzz hunt?
In the latest Eastmans? there is a story of an Idaho late Muzzleloader buck that is a pretty neat looking non-typical. The story says it was shot in south central Idaho on a late muzz controlled hunt. I could only guess it would be either the area 45 or 46 hunts. But both of those hunts are traditional muzzleloader only, with bullet restrictions. The equipment section of the story says the guy used a saboted Hornady pistol bullet. My question refers to the Idaho proclamation that says you can only use a patched round-ball or conical (buffalo) bullet. Did the rules change since last year? Was there a typo or some other kind of mistake? Or did the guy break the rules and then publish it in a magazine? I hope nothing illegal was done, I just wondered what the whole story was?
