#2 for sure - velvet bull in fall grass!

#1 could be too though - looks a little pixelated. Would need to look a little closer.

I know for a fact that #2 is photoshopped because that is an AZ bull and I have video of him from the past 3 years and there is nothing like that around.

I think that #1 is real though. Great looking bull.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-08-09 AT 07:39PM (MST)[p]I think both are shopped. I think someone was looking for elk one cool fall day and came across the sight of a beautiful river scene with the steam coming off the water and snapped a few pics. Now, one of us huntin' nuts sees it and has to put an elk in it! Am I right?

I agree with Jake. The background photo is exactly the same. If either photo had an elk in it origionally it would have to be moved to add the other animal.

I say both are as well, look at there legs, both of the bulls legs just kind of disapear in the grass, it dosent look natural.

Good looking work though.

Well... #2 is photoshoped and #1 is the original. I pulled both off this website. The reason they both look pixelated or what not, is because its one photoshop file saved as a gif to allow the animations. All I did to the photo was remove the one elk and add the other. I originally did it to mess with my brother to see if he could tell which was the really image. Anyways.. was fun to play in photoshop. Will have to try make another one.

JBird, I was wondering where you you going with this. My hopes were that instead of a explanation on how you were able to trick us, you were going to show or teach us how we can spot the shopped photo from the clean one. Is this possible?

Joey

No intentions to trick.. and it's always difficult to tell the difference. But if there are a lot of blurry areas around solid lines or colors don't match up, then safe to say it's been edited one way or another. Also look for the shadows which will not match up with the natural shadows of the original. You would have save the file and zoom in a ton and see the patterns in the photo to tell exactly or not if it has been changed. But resizing several times and with Photoshop it helps the colors to blend together. All n All it's not worth the time to really check on the photo. If it looks too good to be true... then I usually think something is up.. but there are some amazing photographers that know how to use their cameras to get the allusion they are looking for.
