Anyone have any suggestions on units to apply for in NM, for second and third choices.
Never been there. I am aware of the Gila, as one of the "first choice" units. What would be some good units to go for, later in the draw to
a) have a fair chance at a decent bull, and draw a second choice tag, or
b) draw a third choice tag, and be in animals, although maybe not as quality as first or second choice.
I am thinking a unit that has good amounts of roadless areas, to get away from people. I will be packing in (if drawn) on back, distance is not an isssue.
