New spike hunter law allows all spike hunters a shot at all the LE Elk units. This post is for the 12500 spike hunters of 2009. This time of year you will have cabin fever so here is some eye candy! You can PM me for exact locations because I don't want everyone chasing the same trophy spike on the same LE Elk unit. Many of these units have never seen spike hunters so you have cream of the crop.

This one is a first day shooter in anybody's book...I don't care who you are. His gross score will be excellent but his net will fall well below book.

Now this one is a B&C book spike and is perfectly legal.

If you happen to see some of these species of dog feel free to unload your gun.

Do not, I repeat, shoot one of these.....there will be 12499 more of them out there besides you and they are not legal to shoot. Considered armed and dangerous.

Even though this would be a good flock shot, none of these are legal and they are our last hope for 350 plus bull in the future.

Nice post, those are some wicked awesome trophies!!

The only problem i see is your picture of the spike hunter. I have never seen a spike hunter that looked anything like that. But i have seen plenty that look like this.

Who said Utah Management hunts are over. These are even better, because you can jump from unit to unit, do not use you points, and can hunt every year! I really wonder if the UDWR's statistics saying that 20% of the spikes survive the spike hunt.

Look a little closer Rag, you might notice "square" looking rocks in several of these photos.
