idaho second draw results up

The second draw results are up, i drew my muzzleloader antelope tag.

Should be fun, how did you guy's do???

Brian, there is no time limit picking up these tags. The 2nd chance tags that don't get picked up just go unused. The tag's available for purchase on the 25th are just tag's that no one put in for on the 2nd drawing and are leftover.

Congrats on drawing, enjoy the good elk meat.

Thanks Kicker....I hope to find a little bit of info about the hunt. I assume it has to do with a migration. Do you know if the country is open, ie. glassing type country? Thanks - Brian

You are mistaken, any tags not picked up by a specific date will be sold on a first come basis. I checked with idfg.

REALLY? I had just got off the phone with F&G when i made that post. That P's me off. There are too many opinions down there and not enough solid answers. They told me that on the second drawing, the only tags that go on sale for purchase are the one's where there were more tag's than people put in. They said that if you drew on the second draw there is no limit to when you can pick them up, and the tags that don't get picked up just go away.

I'll call again Monday i guess.

Brian you better pick up that tag asap just in case.

I called idfg this afternoon and was told I could purchase this elk tag anytime. The only tags available for the 25 were ones that people didn't apply for on the second draw. She said there were only half a dozen hunts left. Brian

There are some good areas up there to hunt in 36-a 2 bschooner. My wife drew a cow tag a few years back and there where a ton of them in there. I have topos of the whole unit. She got hers up over top of herd lake. Seen probably 30 in that herd. There was no snow up there when we where up there. Just on the west side of the unit is mostly desert area then farther east you go you get into trees. I will look on my topo's then email you where we where at.
