How to find promising spot in little time in Wy

I drew a tag for muleys and then drew a permit for a hunter management area in Region K but unfortunately I just realized that opening day is on a Saturday. I was hoping to hunt during the week as I am sure there will be all sorts of goofballs running around on a Saturday/opening day.

I am curious as to how I should go about finding alternate places to hunt. Obviously a few days of scouting is the best way but it looks like I will be very limited and may have only 1-2 days before the season starts. Is there any reason for me to believe I could obtain decent hunt on private land by a trespass fee? What about areas of land that others may overlook?

I am not going to hold for a monster but I would like to have a decent chance at a decent buck and I will do almost anything to get away from other hunters. I have no problem hauling deer out of woods on a pack frame. I would appreciate any advice and I am not looking for anyone to give up their honey hole but I will be happy for any information you guys can give me.

From my experience in Wyoming, it is safe to say I like opening day. My suggestion to you is to hit the northfacing slopes that are thick in scrub oak and you'll push out the deer that most opening weekenders push the deer into. Tresspass fees are an option, but you can get out of the crowds by concentrating on the bowl areas that have the tall scrub oaks and sage. Especially if your only after a decent buck.
