Advice on Wyo Reg H

I drew a Region H tag in wyoming. I have never hunted there before but plan on hunting high country and closer to the Idaho border. Does anyone have any experience hunting big bucks in this area that they wouldn't mind sharing? I will have horses to get me there.

Stay away from roads and look in the nasty spots. Stay high. Big bucks are not all over the place, but you have a chance. Hunt later in the season. People clear out pretty good after the first week and avoid weekends.

There are 3 options I can give you where I have seen good bucks in the last half dozen years. One would be back in behind Indian Creek (Palisades) and clear over the ridge behind Lake Basin. With horses, you might take a look up on the H side of Greyback Ridge/Pickle Pass or down in Bailey Creek drainage up all the side canyons. Another option would be Cliff Creek if you can get away from people. Again, later in season can be better.

Thanks for the help. I am planning on doing some scouting this weekend and again in two weeks, I need to get out and see some of this country up close... so far all I do is drive by it all and wonder.
