Does anyone know when elk tooth age data will be available? Do the notify the hunters of the age of their bull? They must have the age data because the averages are in the proposed hunt permit number document going to the RACs.

I noticed that too with the RAC's... I've been checking my "Survey" where I had to report my Elk kill... there is a section where there is a place to put the age of the Bull from the tooth data.

I still haven't seen my tooth data from my bull I killed in 2007. I followed the instructions that came with the UDWR package and sent them in immediately but the data has never posted. Makes me wonder if I did do something wrong or if they only test random samples.

For my 2007 bull I gave them a call and they posted it within a couple of weeks. From what they told me, they are having a hard time updating the website. So give them a call it might help.

My buddy Mitch(killed the 441 bull) said he called the division and they told him last week. The bull was 6.5 years old.

Wow...thats cool

I sent them a stamped self addressed envelope and they never got back to me on the results of my 05 Book Cliffs bull. Its right there on the harvest survey- 9 years old.

I knew he was an old dude due to the mass- only one dia under 9"- but very cool to know his exact age.

I noticed they never uploaded the tooth data for my wasatch archery bull last year. I called the main office and they looked it up for me right while I was on the phone... 11 years old!

Our Utah bulls in 05, 06, and 07 were 6, 11, and 10 respectfully. I hate to see the age objective brought down. I like the mass they get later in life.Of course 441 at 6 is no dink!

I finally went to the Ogden Center to find out how old the Bull I shot was in 2008.... the average statistics that were published were driving me bonkers... there were two Bulls taken in the Unit for 100% Success rate but the average age was 4.5...

My Bull was a Five year old so that leaves the other hunter with a Four year old Bull.... Kewel.

Peace at last.

I finially had to call the division office in Salt Lake to get my results it was driving me crazy. My 2008 Archery bull was 8.

I'm not sure how accurate they are. In 2006, I took an 8x6 on the early rifle Wasatch unit and they told me my bull was 1 year old!!??

Damn, that spike sure grew fast!

I had the same thing happen to me on my bull they said that happens when it is 10+ years old... system glich I guess. You didn't kill a yearling, you killed grandpa.
