I posted this in December, but haven't had any success with the leads given so far. Please help me, and the other individuals who have had their racks stolen from a Taxidermist in Springville. Here is a link to my original post in December:

http://www.monstermuleys.info/dcforum/DCForumID12/10197.html

They took many sets of antlers as well as full mounts. I had a 362 archery bull with him and it was one of the antler sets that was stolen. I'm re-posting this thread in hopes that someone will recognize the antlers and provide info to help recover them. If there are others on this site who have been affected by this, please feel free to post pics of your antlers here too. Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is a shame Chris... We will keep our eyes open..
Hope that they turn up... Sucks to finally live a dream and have the memories snatched out from you...

dam nice bull, that has got to make you sick everytime you think about it. too bad your bull was so typical....would up your chances if he had something unique.

I would love to find it for you....nothing worse than a thief!!!

Nice Bull, sorry for your loss. If you find out who stole it, this site has plenty of people that would give you a hand in getting it back, if you know what I mean.

LK
I'll keep an eye out and if you do find them mabey mount them next to your elk. Would make a great trophy. You could call it the sh** and peice of sh**.
Good Luck and Great Memories

Do yourself a favor and refresh this post or make a new one weekly. Theres always new members and non members who just stop by to read every once in awhile. I dont think Founder or anyone else would mind. Good luck.

Honestly I'm a little surprised that the Police and/or Game Wardens haven't had luck with this case... Usually these kinds of thefts are not random, they are planned by someone who knows where the mounts are and may even somehow have access to them. An "Inside Job" as it were. Best of luck to you and the other sportsmen wronged by another low-life piece of scum.

You guys are all GREAT!! That's why I love this place. I keep looking on KSL and ebay, but nothing is turning up. Craigs list is next.

He is a very typical bull. One unique thing about him are the whale tails. His G5s are huge too. And, his left main beam is blunt at the end.

I really appreciate all the extra eyes.

Thanks again!!

You're right. I greed with Blade until you mentioned the blunt end to the left main beam. I love SLC's comment too :)

Good luck. When I first saw this a while ago I thought your odds were pretty good getting em back. Figured they's find someone with all of em and you'd be whole again. Anyways, hope you get your bull back and they bang the terd that took em.

Man your post makes me sick and mad, my heart goes out to you Lk. I have a sheep getting done right now and that is my biggest worry that something will happen. I damn sure hope you get your bull back, that's not something a guy can just replace. You should have every right to take the law into your own hands if you find out who stole your bull. Beat the worthless, piece of $hit, no good for nothing mother f#\#ing SOB with in an inch of their life and ask them if it was worth it! That sound's fair to me. Good luck Lk, if I could help you I would do it in a second.

Thanks for all the support! You guys are great. There are some excellent suggestions on how to make these guy(s) pay. I'll never give up looking...

Man I'm so sorry to hear this. Thats a beautiful bull and it pissses me off beyond belief what thieves do. I hate a thief and a liar , nothin worse ....I sure hope your antlers surface and you get them back....

Still no news. Same old. To add insult to injury, my wife got her purse stolen from her car last week!

It might help if you could round up field photos of every animal that was at the taxidermists shop. Then post them on here. If someone recognizes any one of these animals it might lead to yours.

Archery is a year round commitment!!

I would have a nervous breakdown if I lost a bull like that!

That being said, I do taxidermy, and I never keep people's antlers. Too much liability. When I am ready to mount their head, I contact them for the rack. Something to think about in the future.

I know that a lot of people have probably given you advice as to what you should do, but here is some more. In addition to checking Craigs List and Ebay, I would look up as many Taxidermists as you can all around the Western States area, and talk to them on the phone, get their e-mail and send them pictures. Maybe we could all work together to help you out. If you would like I am down here in Southern Utah and could check it out for you. I would try to get contacts in each region. Furthermore, I would ask the local sporting goods stores if you could post a sign on their doors, you know, like a "Lost puppy sign" but it would say "Stolen Elk Mount" or something, you get the idea.
Seriously, I think as fellow hunting friends that share the passion we all should work together to help you out. I know that I would want all of the help I could get if that happened to me. So you call the shots Lkslayer. Let us know if you want us to do that. I am willing to go the extra mile for you.

Thanks for all the help guys. There have been some poaching cases recently in the area, but they have not produced any leads for us. I appreciate all the eyes. If we keep this thread near the top, that will help. I'll keep you posted of any updates.

Thats pretty dang chicken shi for someone to steal your bull wow!! He didnt just get thrown away keep doing what your doind you might turn him up!

I keep bumping this post every seven to ten days for you Lkslayer, hoping something will turn up. I hope some day it pays off for you!

"instead of some beast consuming space in your house"

What a dumb a$$ reply. You must have more coin than brain. For some people, hunt's like these could mean a once in a lifetime opportunity. Or how about waiting twenty years to draw a tag that was worth the wait.

Has a great idea about posting up the other pictures of mounts that was stolen at the same time your's was, if you find just one of the stolen pieces the trail just got smoking hot.

Post the stolen pictures on picture boards at Cabelas, Basspro,Sportsman, Walmart any store that will take them sooner or later some-one just might see it.
Don't give up once you give up they win.

It sounds like a sad situation buddy, but honestly I think your bull antlers are history. How can you really find them? Those antlers aren't very unique. It looks just like any other average bull to me. I wish I knew where they were, but I have seen many bulls like the one you killed. Your antlers could be in another state right now for all you know. I wish you the best of luck. I hope you find them. The taxidermist guy is a jackass.

I have a buddy that killed several nice deer, elk, exotics. The taxidermy place burned down. He lost everything. Insurance companys can't replace those type of things.

You can't go anywhere you've never been without doing something you've never done.

It doesn't bother me to see you post this every once in awhile, who knows someone might just see it somewhere. I wouldn't exactly call a 362 bull average, my guess is most of the hunters on this forum would mess their pants to kill a trophy like this.

+1
I really hope you can get him back.

You may want to send your photos to some antler buyers. They come across heads and sheds all the time.

Have you considered offering a reward? Maybe that would get one scumbag to rat out the other scumbag.
