WHICH NM UNITS TO HUNT?

I'AM WONDERING WHICH UNITS TO APPLY FOR A MUZZLELOADER TAG.
THIS WILL BE MY FIRST TIME TO APPLY IN NEW MEXICO AND WE WILL HAVE HORSES AND PACK MULES OF OUR OWN, TO GET TO WHERE WE NEED TO GO. WE ARE NOT LOOKING FOR QUALITY AT THIS POINT, WE ARE ONLY LOOKING FOR THE BEST CHANCE TO HARVEST A BULL. WE WILL BE HUNTING IN THE "STANDARD" AREAS ONLY. CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME? THANKS.

Look into unit 6a in N. central NM 6a sounds about what your looking for, not a top unit compared to 15, 16's and such but a solid unit with some decent bulls and not near as hard to draw a tag but not the easiest unit either. 6a has a lot of roads through it, you can use a atv or truck but it also has a wilderness that is foot traffic or horses only.Call NMDGF in Santa Fe or Albq. and ask them some questions about it, might be what your looking for.
