Idaho unit 44

Well with just over three weeks left tell season opens I still dont know a whole lot about the area. Mainly looking for a good area to hunt and maybe what caliber of bucks are there. Anyone with information please reply in private or on this forum. Thanks for any help I receive.

buckmaster, last year I hunted the Featherville, Anderson Ranch Resivoir area but I don't remember the unit number. Is this your area? fatrooster.

What you described is unit 43, right next to 44.
Buckmaster,
You have drawn one of the premier units in the state. Take a look around the lime creek area. The late hunt of course is best, but I have seen some dandy bucks come out of the early hunt. Also take a look north of fairfield. Hope this helps, good luck.

Actually they changed the seasons this year instead of an early and a late they made it one hunt that starts early and goes to nov 9 not quit as late as before, but should be late enough I hope. So I plan to hunt the first week and if no luck maybe the last 10 days or so.
