Yahoo! I know it's sometimes hard for those of you who did not draw a tag to hear the lucky ones shout for joy - I've had that experience many times so I feel for you right now.
I hunted this unit in 2004 and it was a zoo. This year there are fewer tags but still a bunch - 250 bull tags and 100 cow tags during the Sep 11-24 hunt. Access seemed fairly easy so I did not find anyplace that was "away from the crowd". Also, lots of 300-330 class bulls but did not find any bulls that would push 350. I'm sure there are some - just have to scout hard and get lucky.
My question: Are the majority of the biggest bulls in this unit arrowed from tree stands over/near water? I normally hate sitting still all day and greeting other hunters walking into a tree stand spot, but maybe I will have to reconsider.
