Archery Elk Videos of AZ

I know there are numerous videos of archery elk hunting that were filmed in Arizona, but I was specifically looking for ones that may have been filmed in Unit 9. I'd like to get an idea of the habitats in the unit and try to get some watching of huge bulls under my belt to help me field judge.

probably the best most recent video of bulls out of unit 9 specifically is going to be the mossback videos the last two years. Legends of the Fall 1 has a 410" bull on it from unit 9 and Legends of the Fall 2 has a 395" bull from unit 9 with some of the most amazing archery kill footage i have seen.
 
The Extreme Bulls series (1-5) each have several northern Arizona Elk hunts. Including some unit 9 hunts. They aid in field judging as each hunt shows footage of the bull in the field, then on the ground, then they show you the gross B&C score.
 
I have to second Billy on those Mossy videos. AND that 410 bull had 12" broken off. True pig. And that 395 footage is truly sick and one of the best kill shots you'll ever see.

But there is more to come. There is a Mossback video being produced right now from Mossback Arizona to come out late spring or early summer that will be all AZ bulls with plenty of action from 9. I am not kidding when I say you will be blown away by the on hoof footage, the # of successful hunts, and the size of these pigs. This video is the real deal and I don't think I've seen this kind of package all on one video before.

Thanks for the reply guys. I'll try to pick up the Mossback videos everyone recommended.
 
I just got the new mossback video and wasn't that impressed, however I like to watch videos more for the hunts and kill shots than on hoof footage of big bulls. Mossback has tons of footage of live elk video and big bulls for sure but the Extreme Bulls videos have way better footage of big bulls and good hunts with good kill shots not just here is the hunter going out hunting and now were back with a dead bull on the ground. Steve has lots of video of monster Arizona bulls with scores shown to help your field judging which is a bonus too. Guess it just depends on what you want to see on your hunting videos.

Steve does have some really good videos with the Extreme Bulls series and I can't knock those at all, he does a great job. But in regards to the Mossback videos, hopefully everyone is going to be happy with the next one. Great bulls on the hoof, most of which are still out there, and some tremendous kill shots all in AZ.

And for the record, Mossback AZ isn't something new or part of a master plan to take over AZ. It is just a small group of guys who have been in AZ their entire lives chasing bulls, now its just a different name.....

Considering that Steve has been killing monster bulls in AZ since before most finished high school, i seriously doubt that he "stole" a bull. Steve is a class act...period.

are you still in your teens? because you sure act like it from your ignorant posts?? i have had alot of direct dealings with steve and he is a gem of a guy and has the utmost respect for the bulls he hunts and his dvds are some of the best there is.. i had to have a moment of silence when i found out their will be no extreme bulls 6 this year...dang!

get extreme bulls five and you will know why the moment of silence.
i also want to know how you "steal" a bull from someone ?? do you tranq dart them and move them to another spot or what.

azduke if its not past your bedtime would you please shed some light on this???

I didn't mean MM, come on now! How could anyone find fault with MM from someone posting disparaging comments from the comfort of their home? I was referring to the people on MM.

OK, now I am with you 100%.

You know, I guess there is something to be said for being able to speak your mind but then again you can't slander someone either. That post was way out of line. My problem is ripping someone but then blocking your profile so no one knows who you are. That to me is just cowardice chickensht.

I have said a few things that upon reflection I would have said another way or maybe not at all but I didn't try to hide from anyone. Good, bad or otherwise, if I said it and I owned it. In fact, if it were up to me, you wouldn't be able to block your profile at all. If you are going to say it, you ought to stand behind it with your real name or not say it at all.

Those posts were removed. It is unfortunate that people like that come out of the woodwork and post that stuff.

Sure, people are welcome to their opinions here, but you guys are right, it's pretty gutless to post something and not have the guts to put your name behind it. Unfortunately, it really is impossible for me (or anyone) to know exactly "who" sits behind every computer that accesses and posts on this website.

Plus, I don't think real names need to be available to us all. I do think though if a guy is going to say something that might hurt someone else, atleast have the guts to post your name so the person you're hurting knows who you are.

the best way would be just to remove the users who are just starting problems like slandering someone.most hunters stick by each other in my experience but others are the 2% the problem.opions are one thing slander is another all together.

AZDuke, You should feel pretty small after that. You can be sure Steve saw your post but is man enough not to even respond. I offered my opinion to the original post on a good Arizona elk video and you had to bash a friend of mine who wouldn't think of doing that to someone online. Hope your happy. nwhunter

You call that a bad choice of words? How about a bad choice of character? I'd say you owe Steve a sincere apology. Knowing first-hand the class act Steve is, he'd probably accept it with a handshake, which is far better than you would deserve. All three of your immature statements are far from the truth, and a couple of them border on legal slander. You might want to ask your high school government teacher about slander next year....
