I just got back from scouting trip and got some photos of a good buck. I was wondering if I could get some guesses on what he would score. The pictures are posted below. Thanks to the person that posted them for me (3 replies below).

Holey touching tines batman!

I guess 200. Great looking buck!

He's a shooter. The velvet and night time shoot possibly makes him look larger. I would say 185. No matter what I'd shoot him. He is a large desert muley. Good luck.

Great tine length. If he would have a larger spread, he would be totally unbelievable!

Easily 200
He has all the measurements for a big deer;

Some might be thrown off by the tines coming together at the top but he still has decent inside spread on his main beams.

The main beams themselves have a lot of curve to them making them even longer.

He has nice deep forks which means that every tine is pretty long.

Mass looks decent but hard to tell how good with the velvet.

Throw in the inline and you have a great deer.

one heck of a buck!!!!

I would say 200 maybe more typical!

Thats why I will shoot tine length over spread anyday!

LAST EDITED ON Sep-11-05 AT 02:50PM (MST)[p]Those are possibly the largest back forks Ive ever seen!!!!! Might be some kind of record for score vs. width, can you imagine a 200" buck with a 24" spread!!! DAMN

Thats an awesome looking buck, very unique. I tend to be conservative and I have him in the mid 190's. The inside spread, short main beams and lack of brow tines hurt him on his score but all of that being said I would pound him so fast it would make your head spin.

That is an awesome buck. I think he would definitely go 200"...those back forks are frickin amazing.

Now, I might be wrong, but I dont think the tines are touching. If you are looking straight at the picture, the tine on the left(the deers right side) is actually that in-line cheater, and the tine on the right(deers left) is the bucks G-2. I think the picture deceives a little in that aspect. The deers' G-2's do not touch. there is a little more spread there than what the picture shows.

AWESOME BUCK!! Thanks for sharing!

I see a max of 18" inside spread, better off if he didn't have that inliner, 24" mainbeams maybe. He'll net maybe 176+- B&C. I know most of you are talking gross gross gross everything added up. Being a B&C measurer, I don't see them that way. Narrow spread, no G-1's, and that inliner will keep him out of the book. Who care's ??? That is one great trophy and shouldn't be passed.

I am no pro in the scoring category, but that is a sweet lookin' buck. I'd have a hard time passing him up that's for sure.
Cool pics man thanks for postin'.

I have a tag November rifle tag. If not I will be back with bow in rut season.

I would put him at about 210" gross... who cares the score though its the experience of the hunt that counts right?

Who cares about score. That is an amazing muley. I'd shoot him anyday.

Let the air out of him, nice looking buck. Hopefully he will still be in the same area when you can hunt.

LAST EDITED ON Sep-12-05 AT 02:27PM (MST)[p]I came up with 185 gross. More on the conservative side of things though....

Woops, forgot the in-liner... Gonna put him in the mid 190's I do believe.

He's crowd'n 200". And, yes, even with Mulies it really is all about the tine length-not spread. Hope you find him in shooting light!

Good Luck!

I would say an easy 200". The G-2's are HUGE, as are the G-3's, and the G-4's....and the main beams I would bet are around 26-27" as they are fairly close to touching. It does have a certain aspect to it that makes me think a stag though...hmm...maybe me just wishfully thinking. Good luck! That is an awesome buck.

I'm like OSOK and Huntsonora. Mid 190's but who cares. He's a big-timer and I'd be all over him if given a chance.

It's funny to see all the diffrenet opinions but I'd have to agree with D13er. And you don't get into the books on gross!!

He's a definate taker though

Mid to high 190's gross counting that inline. SWEET buck for sure. Great Character for sure. I'd Drop him! :)
