My first was a San Juan archery elk, and Im pretty sure my second choice was a Manti archery. Any thoughts? And for the record Im as GITTY as a school girl.

It would make sense that you would draw the first and not the second.
The only way you would have drawn your second choice is if there were permits remaining after all first choice applicants had been awarded permits. And for the record, that has not happened in the Utah limited entry elk drawing for at least 15 years. I would put money on your first choice!!

Congrats! That is a great tag. I had a buddy draw it last year, but he spent 13 points for the archery tag.

How did your buddy do? Was he familiar with the area?

He is from Blanding, so he is very familiar with the country and had help scouting. He passed on a lot of bulls and ended up eating his tag. He shot some great video of some enormous bulls that he couldn't quite find a way into bow range. He said it was a circus of multiple guides per client, especially the last couple of days of the hunt. His hunt would have been way better if the hunt dates were a week or 2 later! Good luck!
