Hey, congrats. I have hunted this hunt 2 times in the last 4 years. It is a ton of fun. I drew 4years ago through normal dwr draw and last year with the expo. Like mentioned, the last week was the best, BUT then all the rifle hunters are there with there guides and THEY own the mountain.
I was in bulls every day the last 10 days. I was in range all of the time. It was very thick where I was. I did miss a 350 bull at 60 yards. It was my falt. It was the 1 morning I was with no help. Called in the bull. I rushed my shot and used the wrong pin. RIGHT OVER HIS BACK. LONG story.
I will give you all the help you need or want. I would love to see some one kill the dang bulls that I could not. I know on the rifle hunt there was a 385, 371, 360 and a 5x5 that went 356 killed. The 5x5 was a stud. This is all in a general area that I hunted. LOTS of bulls. I came home with tag soup twice now. I know, it sucks. But when you spend the time and see the bulls, it is hard to shoot the small ones.
