I checked the map and found cottonwood canyon to be to the east and south of sheep canyon, is that the right one? How big were the bucks that you saw, the dandy ones? My nephew saw a 32 inch 9 x 4 this year on the bow hunt in range creek so I am looking forward to spending some time up there looking around. Thanks!

Thanks for the information and map. That will work great. Just to the east and a little north of cottonwood, Bruin Point, my father-in-law owns land from there over to the west and north. I am looking forward to hunting down there. Did you go up over bruin point to get to cottonwood? did you see alot of deer? Or just a few? Im curious because my uncle has been hunting sheep canyon for the last 4 days and he said that he has only seen 4 does and thats it. Curious as to the number of deer that you were seeing.

Thanks

I went south through nine mile between Myton and Duchesne because my family lives in Neola. I only hunted a couple of days before we had our elk, and ran across about a half dozen bucks. The area is pretty dry especially a couple years ago so I don't think there are ever a large number of deer. The advantage is that it is all steep and the lower number of deer over all seem to deter alot of people which I guess explains the quality.
