LAST EDITED ON Sep-23-05 AT 03:53PM (MST)[p]Here's a picture on my very first mule deer. I arrowed him on Sept. 6 '05. Main beam was 22 1/2" wide and is a little better than 30" at his widest. Not sure if they count the brow tines for mulies but if they do he is 6x8. Needless to say, I am still pretty stoked. Enjoy the picture and good luck hunting!!

Been hunting for 19 years but only bow hunting for 5. I am a whitetail hunter typically but am taking my advantage of my stay in Colorado. Thanks for the look.

Much congratulations on a great mule deer buck!

When in doubt, floor it.

This is the first time I have posted a picture and I couldn't be more excited to hear everyones comments. I really appreciate all the great positive responses from all my fellow hunters. I am looking forward to seeing and reading your hunting stories as well. It makes me even more excited because now I have a 9 month old son and just bought him a camo jacket today. Can't wait to get permission from my wife to take him out. LOL

Again, Good Luck to everyone on this years hunts!

Great buck!!! Very cool about your little boy. You have a lifetime of memories to build with him. Mine is 14 and is my constant companion in the field and on the range. Our bow season opens this weekend and he is so excited he can't stand it. This will be his second year of bow hunting and first with a gun. My goal for the season is to get him a buck. The look on your kids face at those times is a bigger trophy than any set of antlers .

Did you get a green score of him? Still like to look at both pictures. Pretty cool!!

Great buck and super info. It's neat about your scouting pic and your son. Congrats to you on all fronts.

The taxidermist green scored him at 189 6/8. Others have said they think he'll go a little better then that. Will be leaving velvet on and getting offcial score around Nov. 7th. Thanks for looking!!

Wow,That's an incredible buck, not to mention a 1st buck! What a way to start out on muley's.That's even better that you got his pic while scouting, and then was able to harvest him.Congrat's on an incredible buck, and on your son,and future huntin' buddy!!!

No Gut's...No Story!!!

Do you know of any websites I can enter him at? Any help would be great. Thanks for looking!

Only 2 more weeks till official score!! I am counting the days. Then have till end of March till I get him back from the taxidermist. Can't wait!!!
