Anybody hunting SE Idaho next month? I'll be hunting near Bear Lake. Anybody know how the winter storms affected the deer herd in the area? I heard it was a pretty tough winter back there.
I hunted around Bear Lake the beginning of the month. I can say there are not many deer, but if you look long and hard enough there still are some deer...and some decent bucks. I'll be there one opening morning.
I heard there have been a couple of heavy-wide boys spotted in the Bear Gulch area..and out in the sage in some of those quakie pockets that no one looks at.
Where are you headed? Down close to the lake? East side, on top?
This last winter was really hard. I have a buddy that lives in Montpilliar and said the snow was 45 inches deep in Feb and March. Here is a post from this site last winter. Hope it helps.
