Oregon scouting report

Spent the entire summer Fightin fire, saw some dandy bucks out around ukiah this summer and lots of deer in general everywhere I went. Yesterday I went outside of pilot rock and saw close to 20 bucks, some on public some on private. I have also seen some dandy bucks in the combs canyon area. I am kickin myself because I was just goofin around yesterday and came upon a dandy 4x5 that was real heavy. I snuck above the ourcropping he was bedded and could have has some sweet pictures .

Anyway for those headed to northeast oregon it looks like the deer populations made a good jump this year and it seems to be as good as it was 5 years ago. good luck to everyone and happy hunting!

The weather is much cooler and we have mostly overcast conditions with rain. I think you all know what that means

To bad it's not the same positive note in southeast Oregon. Down here our deer heards are in the toilet. Though I am seeing more small bucks than last year, I hope this young buck crop dosen't get hammered this weekend!! But you know it will because thats most of whats out there these days. Most people don't understand or care about the importance of letting these young bucks go.
