Prescribed burn and elk behavior

The unit in Wyoming that I will be archery hunting this fall is scheduled to have a prescribed burn two weeks before I get there. Does anyone have any experience on how long it will take the elk to get back into that area after the burn? The biologist claims it will happen in a matter of 3 or 4 days...

The elk will be back in the burned area the next day if not that night. The elk love the black.

Two weeks is about perfect especially if there is rain right after the burn...just enought time for the green to start. Then they will really be in it-Hatrick
