Just saw the new Kings issue...what a run of Utah elk! With all those stud bulls, lets hear it which one is your fav?

The best bull of all time was featured in the 2002 kings bulls calendar. It was a gila bull killed with a muzzy in New Mexico. It is the chris robb bull. Absolute biggest and baddest looking bull ever. PERIOD!

You're gonna change your mind this September son just about the time you head out for your assassination effort. Oh....don't forget to bring a nice, crisp $20 bill for me. But don't worry, you'll get it back from me in sweat.

My vote is also for the RS bull. My question is, Where are all the San Jaun bulls? Out of the seventeen bulls in the article only one of them is off the SJ unit. If the unit is such a great unit where are all the record book bulls?

I don't know...that Jimmy Ryan bull is an amazing bull! To me, it is nearly perfect..

the skoronski bull and the robb bull are twinkies. only diference is that the robb bull carris some sick mass through his tines. He totally blows skoronski outta the water. skoronski is just not that heavy looking I don't think. Peakfreak u don't count! Im sure u got some alone time with the skoronski bull to polish the horns if u know what I mean. so yeah ur gonna be kinda biased since u have "history" with that bull lol!

I am BIAS... DION LANEY 2007 7x7 402net, the COVER OF KINGS Outdoor Calendar "Bulls and Bucks (July 2009)" for several reasons.

1. A average JOE-SMOE (Dion Laney) Shot it
2. It sports the most impressive Fifth's (23.5 plus 10 inch cheater)
3. Non-guided... DIY hunt.
4. Shot with bow at 45 yards.
5. Honestly this was a suprise... This bull came out of no where. LUCK/KARMA was on our side! We all need some luck and people do win the lottery! (Don't blow your money though)
6. This was one bull that I can say I haven't personally seen bigger on a hunt with my own two eyes.
7. Character is unmatched with any other bull. I haven't seen one like this.
8. First Bull to kill with bow.
9> First Bull killed period
10. The Last Bull... according to his wife. We all know this will be hard to top
11. This bull has so much special meaning. It really gave Dion new meaning to life. The excitement of this bull really assisted with Dion in handleing his disability.

I have seen this bull probably the most next to Dion, and I sill marvel at the sight of his horns. I almost can't believe they fourth and fifth's are as long as they are.

BLah, Blah, Blah.

I due have a tremendous respect for any bull taken. Each bull has it's own story and merit.

Midnight

Dion and I made it a point to share for others this magnificant bull taken but a joe-smoe like Dion.

Good point Midnight2,
That was a great story and a great bull! He definitely deserves to be included with all these great bulls.
I enjoyed reading about him on here and in Eastmans.

my favorite bull is the spider bull. not because he is the world record. but because I love nontypicls and that bull is about as nontypicl as they get.

until someone shows the rack or pictures of the spider bull in the years leading up to its harvest I will never believe it was a legit bull. that bull is/was a ranch bull in my eyes.

I like Deions bull and rons bull

Archery is a year round commitment!!

LAST EDITED ON May-26-09 AT 03:37AM (MST)[p]Are you freakin kidding me Scott I can't handle anymore pics of him!! Well good job gettin er done Denny but uh...that 40" typical muley with no eye guards you got in northern Utah is the baddest ass buck in the world in my eyes!!!! That thing is scary big...spidey's just fugly like that fat chick you definately don't wanna sleep with after a heavy night of drinking fugly...robb bull is pretty damn cool looking however...

Have you seen pics of the Bull you chose in the years leading up to it's harvest?..... Terry

There's a bull right now walking on the Dutton with absolute baseball bats for tines..HEAVY.. I've seen his sheds..He won't score 500" or even 400" but he is a beast. It will take a man that can piss his name in concrete to get him.........or not.

The Skoronski bull has to be one of my favorites. It is so symetrical and big and long. If that thing would have had any spread, it couldn't be out done. In my opinion it is the greatest bull taken over the last couple of decades, both for looks and for overall score. And to be the greatest scoring 6 X 6 typical bull ever makes it unbelievable.
They Ryan bull is a close second...both are amazing bulls!

I agree with Rick, that bull made to the 430's with only a 34" spread credit, that is what is so cool about him. most bulls that even reach the 400" mark have spreads in the mid to upper 40's or more.

I didn't see Dion's bull but someone else did. So this answers your question, YES!

These photos were taken in the summer of 2006 the year before Dion's bull was harvested. It was the same area. So, here is one example of big bulls seen the year before.

My intent wasn't to question the legitimacy of Dions Bull but rather to point out how ridiculous it was to state a Bull can't be considered legitimate if no one has pics or sheds from years prior. I'd be willing to wager the vast majority of the Bulls in the books lack this provenance.

The story of the hunt you had with your father in law was and is one of my favorites and I give you full credit for a great hunt and the taking of a once in a lifetime Bull. I apologize if my original intent wasn't clear.... Terry
