Any NM Elk CC hits yet???

I thought I heard that they might start showing up on the 8th of June.

Anyone?

My card got hit for a little over 3k.

The drawing has occured or is occuring, the results are due to be posted June 11, so unless they are going to be late folks will be charged on cards leading up to June 11. You can bank on them charging your card ahead of them telling you anything about having a tag...standard for many states.
 
I've been drawn several times for elk and you can alway count on your bank acct or cc being hit up to a week before the results are posted. No hits on my acct yet this year though.
 
Here is my prediction based on my feeble memory. The last few years you will find out on NM's website before you see any CC activity. I have watched my card in years past and always find out on my account before anything is charged.

The last time I drew I found out from my credit card hit "before" the drawing date.

The year before that me and a buddy put in for the Valle Vidal and we didn't find out that we had drawn until mid-July when USO Outfitters sent us a congratulatory letter and offered their services. I'm a little embarrassed to say that because it was our first year ever applying in NM that we had forgotten about the drawing date. :D

Oh well, live and learn.

Well, it's just one species they hit after the draw now, maybe we see sheep credit? Yea right! Anyway, might as well just relax and wait till they post now, not like the cc will give much early now.....
 
My CC took an $83 hit the morning for a resident tag. Any non-residents get so lucky?
 
well...not sure but my available balance is off by more that $750 this morning so...maybe....or my wife went shopping...again!
 
Mine got nailed last night, looks like I am archery hunting in either 13 or 15

Instead of looking at and trying to figure out your credit cards. Log on to the website. Click on draw hunts. Click on the review link associated with elk, and it will tell you if they charged your credit card. I got a hit for $83 at 0322 today. Good luck and post 'em if you got hit....list time if you can so we can try to deduce when they started hitting cards.

Mine was approved at 0434 this morning....guess that probably means a lower pick.
 
Looks like I got drawn too. Not sure where, but we should know tomorrow. I'm just happy to be chasing elk with a sharp stick.

approved at 3:37 am. don't ya just know that means it is 16D...yeah right. I'll take either. would be intersting if the earlier approval times were for the tags pulled earlier in the draw and thus the better lottery numbers.
 
I am very surprised about the hits. I did say I had a feeble memory though.

Anyone get money put back yet?;-)

not sure why a $12 charge???? Is that for elk? What date does it show? If its says June 10 I really don't know what it means. You should show a payment of $83 if your a resident and whatever ($760) your tag cost if non-res.
 
I am under the understanding that the $12 charge was for the application fee and there will be another charge below that if you got drawn. My $12 fee date if April 1, 2009. Is that correct. Thanks

Sorry, your right the date of the charge is April 5th. Since I dont have another charge, I guess it still means I didnt draw.
 
My friend and I drew as NRs either Valle Vidal, 16D, or 16C all late hunts. To say we are on cloud 9 is an understatement.

Sept. 13 -Sept.22 archery- unit 36
card was hit for $535 and that is what the 2nd archery season is. 1st archery and muzz. which I had for 2nd and 3rd choice are $760 Over the years I have drawn this hunt 5 times and can't believe they have it as a standard hunt this year???
Drew 1st choice 36 ........gotta love it!
 
Don't give up yet if you don't see the charge show up on the NMDGF site. Mine still shows pending with only $12 charge as a NR and I just got my successful deer email!!
 
So if you draw deer do you buy your permit in New Mexico?
No I don't plan on drawing no e-mails yet but just wondered.Why do they charge elk now but not deer?
 
They charge you the elk tag fee when the draws are completed and then send you the tag you have drawn. With deer, you just pay the application fee and then decide if you want to purchase the tag if you have drawn...

Congrats on the 16D tag!!

We drew Late Archery. We drew our first choice. Valle Vidal. Planning will be in hyper drive. Didn't expect to draw.
 
Thanks Bob! Yeah, I'm stoked....I'll definately enjoy myself. It is not a Q hunt by any stretch of the imagination but it could be a good hunt with a bit of luck and hard work!
 
jackpot this year.... i drew 16A late season archery elk, and my buddies drew 23 late season archery elk. we all drew archery goat tags unit 13. unbelievable.
 
Unsuccessful...again...for the third year in a row. :(

Getting a little tired of it. Try again next year.
