Youth Hunt

Lucky year for both of my sons. One drew Deer YH Unit 10, the other drew Elk YH Unit 16E. I do lots of hunting, just never lucky enough to draw in NM. Any body have any info on some starting points. Thanks and congrats if you drew.

That 16E tag is a great hunt. Never been there but I apply for it because it has wilderness and i have horses. The youth hunt is early Oct so you'll have rut activity. My questions to NM biologists have been thoroughly answered. They seem to spend more time in the field then other states therefore they are harder to get ahold of but keep calling. My experence is I get lots of help on a youth hunt.

thanks for the help elkslayer. Info has been slim. I'm not looking for any honey holes.. even though its about a once in a lifetime, oddwise. Just general starting points
