Hey Y'all I drew a bow hunt in the sandias here in new mexico i was wondering if y'all had any ideas or suggestions thanks for the time.

Nice thing about the Sandias, you can stay in motel on East Central in Albuquerque and ride the tram up to the top to go hunting! lol

LAST EDITED ON Oct-10-05 AT 10:16AM (MST)[p]Rode on that Tram back in July of 1995 while visiting a friend there. While we were going up to the top, we actually spotted a Mt. Lion on the side hill making his way down through some brush looking for food I'm sure.
Isn't there a road off the east side(back side) from top, seems that is the way the workers go in and out. Go up on tram and hunt back down hill.

Forgot to mention, while your staying there on east central you can also pick up your meth and hookers real cheap and easy as well! lol. Take your rifle with you though.

They will let you take a bow up the Tram?

There is nothing like walking down a street with 3 million dollar homes covered in blood with a deer on your back!

whats up JH man its been a while since ive hunted the sandias
there use to be some good bucks in there until the game and fish
put an all out killing spree on all the does it seems like they
all just vanished you might want to try Elena Gallegos camp
ground or sunset canyon and hunt out to the left towards elena
on that side of the moutian you will see some in there
when is your hunt that makes a big difference where there at

Hey, My hunt is the last part of nov. It is my last youth only hunt cus i turn 18 just a few weeks later. i have been up there at least once a month since june so I kinda have a decent idea. I am thinking i will hunt in the canyon behind the second tram tower. I am not lookin for anything big, and being a youth hunt i can still shoot a fork. thanks for the help

well I have been up above elana, on the ridge between pino and bear trail for the last three weekends in a row, and am not positive what to think. I have seen does every time i have gone up, and a week ago i saw a forkie and a smaller 4x4. I haven't seen them again, I think I might have to go up higher, any suggestions would be great i still have two weeks until opening day, thanks again
