Limited elk nominations sparse

Doesn't look like too many units are being considered for limited elk units. I see only a couple of nominations to include units:

54,55,551, 77,78,771

Was hoping for more of a widespread unit nomination. Anybody know if they are limited to these units, or can the DOW recommend some on their own?

Seems to me that they either have to make almost everything limited or very few limited. One or the other....Cause as long as they have unlimited OTC, pressure in the unlimited areas will increase if other areas go limited.

If I understood the website correctly, they want to make 30% of the hunting LE. They are currently at 16%. The units were to be nominated and then the DOW was going to review them at their next meeting.

I understood that they would only look at those units on the agenda.

The SW units hold a lot of elk. They would get to 30% in a hurry if they made them LE. However, due to the units being so popular, I would bet they don't make the cut.
