WA Bull Elk Permit

I was lucky for a change and drew the "Tucannon A" any bull rifle tag for the late October hunt. One of seven tags available.
I want to do this tag justice. It could be the last time I ever draw a any bull tag in my state. I live about a 2 hour drive from the unit so I will be able to scout at least a couple of times. I was wondering if any of the hunters on here had any experience or advice for this unit/tag.

I'm starting to get some connections here in state thru my efforts and my hunting partner. Its looking to be a good time, with possibly some monster bulls to chase.

Never hunted it for elk but have for turkey. Do your homework and study the maps and do some scouting and you will come out of there with a nice bull. I always drove up the tucannon river and would see them up on the hills.You would be better off heading up out of pomeroy to get the elevation. Very good tag, good luck!
