I have a cousin that swears by hunting Mule Deer in Canada. I am looking for some info on them. Price, Time, ETC. I would ask him but at the current time he is in Canada hunting deer. I am thinking that this might be a nice combined Christmas/B-day present to ask for from my wife. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

It would be even sweeter if you could add some goose hunting in also

Not 100% positive, but I believe in Canada, it's REQUIRED to hunt with an Outfitter if you're a non res.

Michael~All Gods creatures welcome... right next to the mashed potatoes and gravy.

Michael is right, though you can also hunt with a "host" hunter. Check out the regs on-line. Alberta for mulies on the Milk River would be my choice.

Never been, but I've done a little looking into it. There are some real bruisers up there. You can find a bunch of hunts online, just do a google search. One of the cool things about it is that you can take two deer, a mulie and a whitetail if you want. Just look into how they hunt them. I've seen some pictures that look like great breaks and canyon country-looks like a fun hunt. Other things I've seen advertised give me the impression you could end up sitting in a box blind all day waiting for something to walk out of the thick stuff. Not exactly my idea of how to spend 3,000 to 5,000 dollars.

No question that there's big deer up there, though. Both in body size and racks.

You also might ask "Saskman" if he could point you in the right direction.

you can either hunt with a host hunter or a guide outfitter, If you want to hunt alberta it is a draw system only for mulies, If you want one of my friends has a guide outfit out here in the kamloops area and they shoot some really good deer, and some real hog cougars.
they do show much on their website but I see every year some of the critters they shoot.,
their website is bearcatoutfitters.com
