This buck I have been watching since Aug 04 and when I went up on the rifle last year it snowed so much he was no where to be found. so in July 05 I saw him in the same area and watched him all summer long (the first pic is take through my spotting scope) when I saw him that sat morning of the ML hunt I put a stalk on him and got about 65 yards and with one shot he went down. You can't tell but he broke off his main beam on the right side but I was able to find it and attach it. This is my frist buck I had to pack out and all I can say is that I LOVE my BADLANDS 2200 We had two of them and were able to get that deer out in one trip and no time at all.

A good buddy of mine scored it to be about 173

Great story flight and congratulations on the nice buck. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together? fatrooster.

Great buck Flight.

I want to get myself a muzzleloader and try my luck with one next year. Good job.

Nice Buck. Congrats. Is this the same area you were hunting during the archery hunt. I work down at the archery shop and remember you talking about a buck you were watching.

Amazing front forks on that bad boy.... good job. Was the live pic from the year before?

Yea that is the same buck I was talking about that He is the main reason I joined dedicated so I can hunt him all three hunts, last year I spent from Aug to Oct watching him and when the snow came in it was like a kick in the nuts because he was gone and during the archery this year I was only able to get with in 100 yards and he always had other bucks around him, that kept busting me.

This is my first year in dedicated hunter so next year I am going to have to go without next year and spend the time looking for a new buck for the 2007 season.

Great buck and great story. Love the antler frame, tall and carries weight all the way up each tine.

That is a great buck! Congratulations! I bet you were glad to see that he did not get shot last year! Good luck finding your next buck!

Great to see some more pics. Congrats again on the buck, sounds like you put in the time and effort to deserve a great buck like that!

I was on the steep side hill and when i shot him the bullet hit him so hard he went down and the dirt was soft and that side dug into the ground and snaped off, when i found it, it still had a lot of pink inside the antler
