Hey all, its been awhile since I been here but just wanted to let you all know I drew the October 25 to November 24 Unit 11 Bull Tag for Idaho! I'm sooo stoked! Getting good research done already and am wanting a 330" or better bull hopefully... I'm not afraid to work for it so I think its doable especially after talking to the biologist down there.

I've never really been in the unit so if you got any advice I'll take what I can get. Though i'm already having a lot of fun with the research and everything so far! Look for more updates as the summer/fall progresses!

Not hardly... lol Been at the University of idaho the last year and am working in John Day OR for the summer for the USFS... having a blast but I've mostly moved onto different hunting sites. I see the site hasn't changed much, no congrats or well wishes or nothin! lol

MJ
Congrats
It is one of the better tags in ID., IMHO.
Don't think the wolves have hurt it to bad yet.
Be prepared to work as it is some steep country like most Idaho elk country. Try to spend as much time in there as possible.
You may want to try sending "ramslam" an email, he lives on the washington side of the river from the unit and I think he shed hunts over there some.

Thanks Sj, I'm super stoked and am in shape but am improving that. You can never be in too good of shape for a hunt like this. I've driven through some of that country and you're right it is nasty steep! But that should make it easy to get away from the other tag holders and hopefully knock down a good bull. I'll see what RamSlam has to say about the area, thanks for the tip!

MJ,

Congrats on the tag. Just saw your post. I have never been in the unit but have heard good things. I'm sure you'll have good luck, better than your luck was down here a couple years ago anyways. Even if you don't come on here much, keep us posted on how it is going and definitely get some pic's of whatever it is you decide to pull the trigger on.
