packing out

I need some advise from those that know. Is the frame from my external frame backpack all I need to carry out the quatered elk? Can I hunt with a small day pack stapped to the frame so I don't need to go all the way back to camp for the frame? Thanks in advance for any advise.

I would think it would be a matter of bulk and noise to consider but I'm not an expert as I usually just have on the daypack with game bags, knives, saw, etc just to get it quartered. Try it out before you go hunting on a long hike and you'll get a better idea of whether it'll work for you.
