I think around 200 elk were transplanted into marginal habitat, and after around 6 or 7 years, the herd has increased slowly to an estimated 300 animals.
The CWD outbreak really put a halt to the reintroduction program, with only a fraction of elk transplanted than they had originally hoped to relocate.
TN has certainly traded/sold it's fair share of turkeys over the years to other states, but primarily to TX.
