I know I shot a little 2 point for some meat in the freazer. but I am wondering if there is anything worth mentioning that was taken.

I shot a 24" 4x4 this morning (Sunday) at about 10:00am. I forgot my digital camera, so I'll have to wait for the 35mm's to be developed and see if I can scan in a picture. It's way too warm to hang a deer for very long so I cleaned him and hauled @$$ for the locker.

I shot him with '57 Winchester Model 70 .300 H&H with 180gr Winchester Silver Tips. I was hunting down by Birdseye. I wore off a lot of boot leather and this was the only buck I saw all weekend!

Crimedog, good to see you on the forum. I didn't know you were a hunter. I got a decent 3x3 10 min into the hunt on Saturday. I will post pics as soon as I get them. I can't wait for everyone to pick apart my deer and tell me that I shouldn't have shot it and this and that......I was home had breakfast, skinned and hanging in time for the game.

Cant wait to see your pics 3D, and nobody will pick apart your deer, we just like to see pics and hear stories.....

I shot a small 4x4 Sat. morning up by Strawberry NE unit. We saw a few small bucks in the canyon we were hunting. We will go back next weekend and try to get my sons a shot.

Ok, so he is a little small laugh all you want (atleast he is 4x4). NE 8:20 opening morning and should have waited 30 more seconds. I knew there were alot bigger bucks in the canyon I just didn't realize they were still laying in the brush next to where this one came out of(probably the Nomad buck). Oh, well time to get ready for Colorado.

I did see two other bucks that were respectable taken opening morning.

Nice buck southslope. I suppose your going to tell me you live in Altamont County. The only county in the US where ya can make a u turn and flutter her eyes at you. And the only location in existence of Altamont calendar girls. There is no freaking way that is the Nomad buck. I almost bet ya took it off of the Indian Res. Any bets?
Anyway congrats to ya and the monster south slope buckskin. I can't wait to hear Bobcats Reply. Knowing you intentionally took the possible nomad buck or even thought about it.
Rut.

So that would make you from the Myton area? LOL I thought I got all the feathers off before I took the pic J/K. I was refering to the buck still laying down as the Nomad buck not the one I blasted. Yes I too anticipate some animated comment from the cat.

Not even close to the buck I missed with the smoke pole.

They would have to close the season for about four or five years for a buck to reach 6 years old in the basin.
