Hello All
I know there are a lot of people out there that could maybe help a poor old sap like myself. I am new the the area of Northern Utah. I have purchased a any bull elk tag and having a hard time getting to know the areas around here. I have been a deer hunter all my life and thought i would give elk a try. I have talked to a few people on areas to try and start scouting for the rifle hunt to try and find some animals. I have been told the Uintas are a nice area to start. I am hoping there are some hunters out there that could maybe help steer me in a more general direction on my quest. I am looking for a trophy elk..(Spike or better, not picky). I appreciate any help. Can email privately at [email protected]

Thanks

Try the Slouth slope of the Uintas ... Over by vernal hunt up by red cloud loop road... you might see some there .. but Ive got to tell you its not lie deer hunting you could go all season and not see an animal.... the uintas are missed managed and there is alot a ground to cover. YOu are going to need some luck and a lot of boot leather.
