200s?doubtful...imo... id sayat least 300-320 imho. it has weeks fronts but looks like decnt beams and big thirds
however it looks like it is missing a fronttine?so i wouldnt go bigger than 320 ... is it broke or just not there? so id say 319 for my guess

geez alot of 200's guessin! lets hear the score im dyin! i know its gotta be in the 3's

My guess is 293-294!!

Leftside...129
Rightside...126
Spread...(kinda hard to see)...37-38

Just a quick look I believe he will score over 300 with the broke browtine.

260-280

"Now we come to the most important pre-season question. Do you just want to go elk hunting, or do you want to bring one back? If you desire the latter, there is no substitute for hard work. The bigger your goal, the harder the work required to get there. Good luck!" - Cameron R. Hanes

If that's a Dutton bull, I'm saying 360. He would've gone 380 without the missing right tine. And that includes the left third that had 7" chewed off by rodents. Ya baby...

I think you have enough input from experience people to average the post at around 285, which is what I think is a realistic score.

tough to tell on the spread (3 spread measurements make up the total for spread) and then the broken tine probably about

303 7/8

it's not a 300" bull,i say 280"

early morningpoker, what is this " 3 measurements makes the total spread"??

you take 3 measurment but only 1 counts

Hey guys, Well alot of quesses that were a little too low. The Bull Scores 312 1/2 Not Counting the broken brow tine. Theox, it looks like you were the one . Send me a PM and we will find a way to get you a brown 5 point shed. Thanks for all the guesses!

I think you need a remeasure. 285 is a gratuitous guess. I would say actually closer to 275. That is the smallest mass 312 class bull I have ever seen. Sorry

LAST EDITED ON Aug-02-09 AT 10:05PM (MST)[p]scottnm seems pretty butt hurt! ive seen 360 bulls with that mass! just had long tines. and 55 inch beams
mass is like 10% of elk score not as big of a factor with elk as it is with antelope whre its prob 40%

the elk in the pic has a huge 3rds and long beams.

Can you say "reality check"

I have seen lots of 300 class bulls. The measurement is off

This bull came in at 307

Hey Scottnm, Just for fun lastnight me and a friend scored the bull again just to make 100% sure And you were right 312 1/2 was not correct, we came in at 312 3/8. The only thing I can say is the pictures dont justify it. If your around central UT. Your more then welcome to come and check for yourself.

scott the frame on that pic you posted is way smaller! its fronts thirds and beams are all shorter your pic is decieving its to close it looks big until you look more clossely at it

At first glance I said 275, but then after looking a little closer - especially at the length of the main beam and the 3rd - I can buy 312 3/8.

And OX - I would be happy as HELL to think I had put down a 350 bull and have it measure out 400! Unfortunately, I am sure it is more likely for me (and for most people!!!) to shoot a 350 bull and have it measure out closer to one like this!

>one of those tapes.

It's a special Utah tape. It also converts 330 class bulls into 350 bulls and 360 bulls into 400 class bulls. Billy Mays had just signed on to promote a special Dutton model, but he puked right before they started filming...

I don't believe that bull goes over 300....no way. Its a neat find and congrats. Will you post his measurements for us? He's way to narrow, short, not much mass, and that busted tine didn't help.

YUPP, that bull is right around the 290 range!! And not to burst the bubble but that bull brown, fresh in mint condition is not worth half of a trail cam!
