Have a question...
I am going munle deer hunting on private ranch (first time)in NM. Will be hunting with guide. How much do I tip him? Two options for tipping..
1. Kill a deer and have fun.
2. Don't kill a deer and still have fun.

Thanks

You'll receive a WIDE range of answeres to this question. Some will say 10 to 20 percent of your hunt cost. That can be a heck of a lot of money. I say tip what ever you feel like, it's not mandatory. As a guide I've recieved tips from $20 to $600. It usually depends on the financial condition of the hunter. No matter what thier finances everyone recieves the same service in my camp. I've also recieved handshakes that meant more and made friends that will last longer then any monitary tip. When a hunter re-books with us I'm happier then if he left a tip and never came back. I've always felt ambarresed to accept a tip for doing something I love and would do for free if I could afford to ( unfortunatlly my mortage company and utillity companies aren't as nice as I am ). I usualy tip according to the quality of service I recieve. If your guide is unhappy with whatever you leave him then he should find another job. Good luck
