What a crazy coincidence this thread is!
I saw a herd of 33 cows, 3 bulls, in southern utah today in an alphalfa field lying under a watering pivot like they were showering.
There were also about 50+ antelope with them as well.

haha really!? wow thats crazy! prob not the same ones though this was the only elk i seen, what unit were yours on?
just goes to show how unpredictable these elk are huh

looks like he has gotten away from all the scouting and found where the grubb is. and is that antelope in the background, my gosh.

no antelope in the pics actually for some reason the antelope were not on the field today. very odd! usaully there is at the least 20-30 head often 40-50

LAST EDITED ON Aug-03-09 AT 03:06PM (MST)[p]no there isnt a tag in it.... i thought that when i look at the pic i was like what the heck but its just the shadow from his antler the sun was directly above. i know for sure no tag! we have had elk come down before its right on an le unit just down on the flats. so its not compleley off the wall to see him. last year one came down during early rifle hunt. and during the drought had a herd come down about 6 years ago.plus no elk farms anywhere close
