Anybody have something to show us yet? Don't need names or locations, just pictures. I know the conditions here in North Central Washington couldn't be better.

LAST EDITED ON Nov-04-05 AT 04:24PM (MST)[p]I keep thinking why couldn't I have got my Entiat permit this year instead of last year??? Good luck to you guys with the late permits...this is THE year to have one! There's gonna be some monster bucks killed, a new state record wouldn't surprise me a bit because of all this early snow.

I didn't get drawn for a deer permit this year but it was my best year ever. First I get drawn for a mountain goat tag, and have a great hunt with my dad, son and father in law. Then I go deer hunting with a very good friend and the first day he shoots a 29 1/2 inch 5x5 and two day's later I get a 24 1/2 inch wide x 20 high 5x7. I couldn't be happier. Great year and even better company.

Good luck to everyone that has late tags.

Holy Cow Butcher those are some damn nice deer! You guys got those during general rifle season??

I'm definately thinkin' I had my late tag one year too early also. Was nothing like this last year!

I am heading out in the AM for a late Chiwawa hunt. I will post results next week sometime.

Muleyslyr,
Thanks. They were taken the last week of the general rifle season on public land. The Monday my buddy got his, we saw 10 other guys hunting the same area. The day I got mine it was not as bad, but I still saw 7 other guys, three walked within 75 yards of my buck that was bedded down. Both deer were taken mid morning 11:30 and about 10:00. Both deer had swollen necks and Mikes buck was chasing does when he got him.

Good Luck

Those were some nice bucks. They are going to have an awesome hunt this year, some BIG bucks will be taken. Can't wait to see the pics.

I used to think our state didn't have much to offer in big bucks but several hard working hunters are changing my mind! Those bucks are both AWESOME!!! Congratulations. Great work.

Mike

Did you shoot those in my Dad's backyard in Twisp??? Those look like nice mountain deer coming down to get a little in the sage. Beautiful deer.

I was also curious if you shot them in Twisp, did you take them to the taxidermy shop there in twisp because I seen one there just like the wide buck, just wondering if it were yours. Nice bucks congrats.

Butcherboy!!

I don't know how I missed this post, but I just now saw it for the first time and I've been waiting to see those pic's. I think dad is kicking himself for not going with you now. LOL. Congrats on one heck of a year!

Anybody else got any success pic's from Washington?? (C'mon polarbear, I know you're hiding something, LOL)

Thanks everyone for the comments. It has been a heck of a year with alot of luck! No the deer was not taken in Twisp, but they are at Fidalgo Taxidermy. Mine should score 173 SCI and Mikes 182 SCI. Alot of mass on both deer.

Jaxon, wish your dad and you could have been on the hunt, we had the wall tent set up there would have been plenty of room. Maybe next year? You know your always welcome. Thanks again everyone for the positive comments. Good luck to anybody who still has a tag.
