LAST EDITED ON Aug-15-09 AT 10:15AM (MST)[p]I got my 2008 bull back from the taxidermist. Kyle Taylor of Rocky Mountain Treasures in Menan, Idaho (208-589-4241) did an AWESOME job on it. The first word out of everyone's mouth so far has been "WOW!" The massive body almost makes the antlers seem smaller than they are - and he makes my 200" buck look like a pisscutter. :) I'm so excited to finally have it back and love how it turned out, especially with the offset shoulder.

"Now we come to the most important pre-season question. Do you just want to go elk hunting, or do you want to bring one back? If you desire the latter, there is no substitute for hard work. The bigger your goal, the harder the work required to get there. Good luck!" - Cameron R. Hanes

apollo,

Congrats on a very nice bull! The mountlooks nice also. You should be proud of him!:)

Good job on letting us all know about your 200" deer lololol what does that have to do with the elk lol

I'm just saying that you think a big buck mount is big until you throw an elk in the same room. Everyone that comes in the room will certainly notice the bull and then might notice the little deer in the corner despite the fact that the deer is much bigger and much more rare as deer come than the elk is.
