Saw this bad boy yesterday. I think he's the same boar that I found the moose kill from. We saw him coming down a pipeline right-a-way. I bailed out of the truck with the video camera and started filming. He then moved through a patch of timber and out onto a remote stretch of highway. He stood on the pavement and made a semi come to a complete stop. He then slowly mossied across and into the timber on the other side.

Here is a very flat laying shed I found last weekend. 15 inches from the outside of the mainframe to the burr. This shed would be from 2003/2004. I found the 2004/2005 matched set off this buck back in the spring. Nice to have another year off this buck now.

You got punted this summer and now you're back with a new sign in eh? Nice to see you're still a master at the art of photo judging. Maybe you should get out and actually hunt once in awhile so you don't have to pretend you know what you're talking about on the computer. ;)

AWESOME pics Steve! Looks like the same buck to me.. Congrats and good luck with the match!

Snowing like crazy now. I doubt I'll find the match this fall. But will be hunting that area hard starting Friday. Hopefully we can pull him or any of his big buddies out of there. Going to have a blast regardless. :)

The antlers have some very distinct characteristics (small funky swirlly looking hole at the exact same place) that makes me sure they come off the same buck. :) They were found very, very close to each other too. ;)

Great pics man.... That's a pretty big bear.

Big bear for sure.
Looks like he has his ears more to the side of his head. Like you say, mickey ears a big no no!

Thanks for the pics.

Phantomgaylord, (Yea, I may be childish, but I have fun :) :) )
I'll say this sloooowww so you can understand: the right single that I found and the right match are from the same buck. Yea, he did grow an extra on the latest shed, but deer have been know to grow more or less points from one year to the next. The single has weak forks. Yea, deer have been known to grow bigger forks as they get older. Yea, the matched set has more mass. Deer have been known to put on more mass when they get older. Is that tooooo hard for you to understand there bud?
